Elise Beechen

Sports Massage Therapist

BTEC Level 5 Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy MISRM

Elise has always been interested in the body and movement and originally trained as a Dancer, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Dance Performance from Middlesex University in 2008. She then went on to perform, teach and also study Dance at Postgraduate level. It was through her career and training as a dancer that Elise discovered the benefits of Sports Massage and she used this therapy alongside Yoga to help recover from dance related injuries and to maintain her body at peak performance level.

She went on to become a Yoga Teacher in 2011 and now teaches classes locally and runs Yoga Retreats in the UK and abroad. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the body, in 2013 Elise began to train as a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist with London School of Sports and Remedial Massage. She holds the UK’s highest qualification in Soft Tissue Therapy and is a full member of the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage. As well as providing relief from muscular aches and pains using Remedial Massage techniques, Elise has helped many athletes and amateur athletes overcome injuries and achieve their peak performance goals, including competitors for Triathlons, Marathons, Enduro Mountain Biking Competitions and Marathon Des Sables.

Elise is delighted to be joining the team of therapists at 21st Century Clinic and looks forward to helping many more patients overcome muscular injuries and ease their discomfort though Massage Therapy.
