Master's degree in Osteopathic Medicine
Leah qualified as an Osteopath from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, with a Master’s degree in Osteopathic Medicine. Leah uses a structural approach to treatment and has a keen interest in both acute and chronic presentations of pain.
Leah is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and fully committed to providing the best possible care to suit everyone’s individual needs.
She is also qualified in Medical Acupuncture, as well as having a level 2 qualification in Kinesio-taping, which is used within her treatments.
Her treatment approach is very ‘hands on’, using a variety of soft tissue massage and joint mobilisation/articulatory techniques, alongside movement assessments, stretching and simple exercises to help relieve pain and tension within the body, and prevent it from returning.
Leah believes that with many injuries, the area of pain may not necessarily be the cause, but the effect of dysfunction elsewhere in the body. Leah enjoys the challenge of figuring out the underlying factors which contribute to various problems, treating the cause, not just the symptoms.
She is also looking to continue her development into cranial osteopathy later this year.
