Suzanne Crockford

Sports Massage Therapist

BTEC Level 5 Clinical Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy MISRMA

Suzanne’s interest in massage first arose due to her involvement in netball. As a keen local league and county level player she wanted to understand how to maintain peak performance and reduce the risk of injury in this high impact competitive, team sport.

She undertook an ITEC Diploma in Anatomy Physiology & Massage and then went on to gain two further level 3 VTCT Diplomas in Sports Massage and Management of Activities Injuries. While studying, she worked alongside the Hampshire North County Netball Association physiotherapist, providing first aid, sports massage and injury management at training, matches and tournaments across the country. During this time she also worked as a PA to the Operations Director of a multinational Financial Services company.

Although Suzanne no longer plays netball, she is a regular runner both on and off road and is a keen horse rider (qualifying in Equine Sports Massage in 2015). In the past she has also provided pre/post event massage for the Bramley 10/20 mile road race, Reading Half Marathon and various Netball competitions.

Her interest in human anatomy continues to develop and she recently completed the BTEC Level 5 Clinical Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy qualification with the London School of Massage. She is a member of the Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage and The Complementary Therapists Association.

Suzanne is now looking forward to using her knowledge and experience at 21st Century Clinic, helping clients with musculoskeletal pain or injury to lead a full and active life.
